Senate Committee visits PTAD

The Executive Secretary of Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), Dr Chioma Ejikeme received the Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service who were on oversight visit to the Directorate on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. The Committee was led by the Chairman, Sen. Ibrahim Shekarau along with other members.

The ES told the Committee that the introduction of administrative reforms has restored public confidence in pension payment and ensured savings in budgetary provisions for pension payment through the elimination of ghost and duplicated details from the database.

Restored qualified Pensioners who were arbitrarily removed from the payroll before the inception of PTAD and payment of accrued arrears due to them.

She also explained that, the Directorate is working on the I’M ALIVE Project for all Pensioners.

The Chairman commended the ES for a good job done by giving hope to the hopeless. The Committee further assured the Directorate of the NASS support.
