Refund of pension contributions to Military & SSS

National Pension Commission (PenCom) refunded N6,136,638.57 to 81 Military and other Security Agencies’ personnel who have since been exempted from the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) since 2011. The refund was done to officers who applied for refund during the 3rd quarter of 2020 and it represents the officers employee portion of their pension contributions.

The Military and Security Agencies personnel were exempted from CPS in 2011 and PenCom has been refunding their employee pension contributions to them since then. officers who are yet to receive the refund of their pension contributions under the CPS are to contact their Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs) to apply. Our tracking also reveals that PenCom refunded N19,291,076.13 to 284 officers from January to September 2020.
