Pensioners Commend President Buhari for Nominating PTAD Executive Secretary as a Minister.

Pensioners under the aegis of Nigerian Union of Pensioners (NUP) have commended President Muhammadu Buhari for nominating the Executive Secretary of Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), Sharon Ikeazor, as a Minister.

The assistant general secretary in charge of media of the NUP, Bunmi Ogunkolade, said considering Ikeazor’s contribution to reforming the Pension sector in Nigeria her appointment is well deserved.

Appreciating efforts made by Ikeazor at PTAD, Ogunkolade said before the executive secretary’s assumption of office, pensioners were sleeping in pension offices for months just to be verified.

“We are happy with what she has done for us. If you remember, before she came in as the executive secretary of PTAD, pensioners were sleeping in pension offices just to be verified, while they were owed several months of pension.” “But she came in and transformed the whole place. Today, our members have been verified smoothly without having to sleep in any pension office and our pensions are paid as and when due. That is a big plus for her,” Ogunkolade said.
