Ogun State Bureau of LG Pension Proposes N57m for 2020 fiscal year.
Ogun State Bureau of Local Government Pension has earmarked N57m to execute its programmes for the 2020 fiscal year. The Permanent Secretary in the Bureau, Mrs. Afolashade Kokumo, stated this during the 2020 budget defense at the State House of Assembly Complex, Oke- Mosan, Abeokuta.
Kokumo noted that out of the N57m, capital expenditure would take N27m, while recurrent expenditure would gulp N30m, with N15m allocated for salaries and allowances and another N15m as overhead cost.
‘’Our agency’s proposal of N57m covers N27m for capital expenditure and remaining N30m for recurrent expenditure. It is imperative to state here that the proposed N30m is to cover N15m for salaries and allowances while the remaining N15m will be expended on overhead cost’’, she stated.
Responding, the Chairman House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Hon. Olakunle Sobukanla said the House was aware of the plight of the Bureau, adding that retirees and pensioners would be given priority in the scheme of things.
