Military Pension Board (MPB) gets new Chairman

A new Chairman has been appointed to steer the affairs of the Military Pensions Board. He is Air Vice Marshal Paul Ichibor Irumheson. Before his appointment as the Chairman Military Pensions Board, Air Vice Marshal Ichibor Paul Irumheson was the Managing Director Nigerian Air Force Investment Company.

He was born on 1 July 1967 in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, He attended Otsele Primary School Okpekpe in Edo State. Thereafter, he proceeded to Air Force Military School, Jos from September 1980 to July 1985.

He commenced his military career on 10 September 1988, as a member of 40 Regular Course at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna. He was commissioned into the Nigerian Air Force on 25 September 1993 and was promoted to his present rank of Air Vice Marshal on 10 December 2023.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the NDA and National Diploma in Accounting. He is a Member of Institute of Management of Nigeria (AMIMN), Chartered Institute of Economics of Nigeria (AMICEN), Associate Member Institute of Public Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (AMIPCAN), Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (CNA).

Since he joined the military, he has held several appointments. Some of which include Command Finance Officer at Headquarters Camp in Lagos, Headquarters Logistics Command, Headquarters Mobility Command and Headquarters Training Command.

He has also worked as the;
Executive Director Finance and Administration Nigerian Air Force Holdings.
Director of Finance Headquarters Nigerian Air Force Account and Budget Branch.
Director of Inspections Headquarters Nigerian Air Force Account and Budget Branch.
Director of Accounts Defence Headquarters -Defence Research Development Bureau (DRDB) Abuja.
Commander 081 Pay and Accounting Group in Lagos.
and Managing Director Nigerian Air Force Investment Company Abuja. The appointment he held until his recent appointment as the 25th Chairman Military Pensions Board.
