LASPEC launches Retirees’ Web Portal
Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC) has launched a retirees’ web portal specifically designed for prospective retirees and pensioners to interact with the commission on issues concerning their entitlements.
Mr Babalola Obilana, the Director-General, LASPEC, said at the unveiling of the portal that the web would be accessible for the retirees regardless of their locations in the world. Obilana said the portal was a single web interface that access all necessary information and interactions by all retirees in the state.
He said that the portal would assist in attending to personalised complaints and enquiries to the commission. According to him, the initiative is part of the commission’s programmes to enhance and improve its service delivery to all retirees in the state.
“The new portal will be useful in checking the progress of documents under processing and also assist retirees to check status of retirement bond certificate processing.”
“Retirees will also be able to fill forms for issuance of identification cards for health insurance and other social intervention. The portal will serve as a single portal for classified information for retirees to update their personal records.”
Obilana urged the retirees to key into using of the portal to scan and send all their documents to the commission through infor@laspec.gov.ng or help desk@laspec.gov.ng in order to eradicate constant visit to the commission.
The director-general said that LASPEC had also redesigned its flagship software application and made it available on cloud. According to him, this is done to ensure continuous efficient service delivery to the state’s retirees during the COVID-19 pandemic in compliance with the physical distancing order in the state.
