Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) is Set To Commence Pensioners’ Biometric Verification Exercise.

The Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), is set to commence its Pensioners Biometric Verification on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at its Headquarters, Block 12, Old Secretariat, Oba Akinjobi Way, GRA, Ikeja and the six Education Districts across the State.

According to a statement issued today by the Agency, the decentralisation is aimed at bringing the exercise closer to the pensioners for their convenience.

It listed the venues of the biometric verification exercise as District I: Vetland Junior Grammar School, Agege; District II: Education District II, Schools Complex, Maryland and Teaching Service Staff Development Centre, Beside Ikorodu West Local Government Secretariat, Owutu, Ikorodu and District III: St. Gregory’s Boys’ and Girls’ Primary School, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi and Odo Obara High School, Epe.

Others include District IV: New Era Girls’ Secondary School, Ogunmola Close, off Suenu Road, Surulere; District V: Festac Junior College, Festac Town and SDP Secretariat, Ibereko and District VI: Ikeja Senior Grammar School, Bolade Oshodi, Lagos.

The release recalled that the Commission had, in October 2019, commenced the Online Verification Exercise for Pensioners living outside the State to eliminate the rigours of travelling down to Lagos for the exercise.

“The online verification also serves as an avenue for the sick or bedridden to participate in the exercise without stress. The exercise is still ongoing and will continue until December 31st, 2019”, the statement added.
