Lagos Isolo GH commends Retirees

The Medical Director/CEO of Isolo General Hospital, Dr. Godwin Akhabhoa, has commended five retired staff members of the hospital, namely Mrs. Adetutu Somoye, Mrs. O. Olaneye, Mrs. Rebecca Otumba, Miss. Odunayo Ogedele and Mrs. Olayemi Toriola for their dedication to duties, while in the service and wished them well in their future endeavours.

Dr. Akhabhoa gave the commendation during a send forth ceremony held in honour of the retirees, stating that the retirees displayed professionalism as they carried out their statutory responsibilities with diligence and exemplary behaviour.

While praying that God would adequately reward them for their dedication and labour, he rejoiced with them for retiring gracefully without a blemish on their records of service, adding that many could not retire statutorily due to death or dismissal.

The Medical Director, however, charged the staff in active service to emulate the retirees and follow their footsteps because they were able to run their race and finished well with a glorious retirement from public service.

Also speaking, Head of Admin and Human Resources, General Hospital, Isolo, Mrs. Oyindamola Ola-Dawodu, advised the retirees to take life easy and take good care of themselves, enjoining them to eat more fruits and vegetables, relax and do moderate exercises to keep fit.

She also urged them not to hesitate to offer useful suggestions and ideas that could benefit the Lagos State government to concerned authorities in retirement.

Responding on behalf of the retirees, Mrs. O. Olaneye thanked the Lagos State government and the Isolo General hospital for the opportunity to serve.
