Kaduna State releases N900m for Batch 54 Accrued Rights Payment for Retirees and Deceased Families
Kaduna State Government has approved the sum of N900m for the payment of Accrued Rights for Batch 54 State and Local Governments Retirees and Deceased Families under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS).
This latest release comes a few weeks after the approval of N1.16b by Governor Nasir El-Rufai for the payment of Batch 17 Local Government and Batch 19 State Government Gratuity to retirees and families of deceased retirees under the Defined Benefits Scheme (DBS).
The sum of N600m has been allocated to state retirees and deceased families, while N300m was allocated to local government retirees and deceased families.
The payment of retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) is managed by the Pension Funds Administrators (PFAs). In line with this, KDSG will only pay the past savings or accrued rights of retirees prior to the commencement of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) in 2017 to retirees’ PFAs.
The Kaduna State Pension Bureau hereby informs the beneficiaries and families of deceased beneficiaries in Batch 54 to visit their PFA branches as payments have commenced.
