Kaduna State Government Invites 969 Retirees for Verification. Dates, Documents & Venue
From 1 January 2017, the Kaduna State Government began operating the contributory pension scheme (CPS). This state is also running the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS) for workers who retired prior to the commencement of the contributory scheme.
Kaduna State Government has commenced the verification of 969 workers who retired between 1998 and 2016 for inclusion in the defined benefit scheme. Most of the retirees invited for the verification exercise are from the local government service and they are expected to comply with the verification timetable. Retirees from MDAs are similarly expected on the dates indicated.
The exercise started on Monday, 16th September 2019. The list of the concerned 969 workers was published by Kaduna State Government. Only persons listed or their next of kin are expected at the verification exercise.

Persons invited for the verification exercise must present all necessary documents, including the following:
Birth Certificate
Death Certificate (of deceased retiree)
Affidavit of Next of Kin
Valid Means of Identification (Voter’s Card, National ID card, among others)
Employment letter
Confirmation letter
Promotion letters
Affirmation letter of Retirement/ Death/ Resignation/ Withdrawal
Personnel Sub-head Number (PSN)
Bank details containing Bank name, Account Number, BVN verification slip from the bank and a recent statement of account
Passport photograph of self or next of kin
