Finance Minister Pays Working Visit To PTAD, Commends Staff
The Executive Secretary, Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), Dr Chioma Ejikeme received the Honorable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, who paid a working visit to the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) on Monday 6th May, 2024.
The Honorable Minister took time to interact with the Management and Staff before embarking on a familiarization tour of the office premises, acquainting himself with the operations of each Department and Unit.
He said “Even with the heightened inflation and macro economic strain because of the reforms which are necessary, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR is very committed to the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians particularly pensioners who meritoriously served this country because it is in line with his Renewed Hope Agenda.”
The Honorable Minister pledged to support the Directorate in the payment of the recently announced pension increment, payment of pension arrears, gratuities and pension entitlements to NOKs and commended the Directorate for the important work they are doing for the benefit of DBS pensioners.
He commended staff for the important work they are doing.
Dr Ejikeme was delighted to have the amiable Honorable Minister and CME at the PTAD office. She reiterated the fact that PTAD is committed to continuing to deliver premium services to PTAD pensioners and other stakeholders in line with the Directorate’s mandate.
The Executive Secretary also took him through the project site of the ongoing back-end computation review for the Parastatals Pension Department as well as the expanded computation project for verified Pensioners/ Next-of-Kin of deceased pensioners.
