Buhari Nominates Dr Farouk as PenCom Commissioner

President Buhari has nominated Dr Umaru Farouk Aminu has a Full-Time Commissioner representing the North West Geopolitical Zone in the National Pension Commission (PenCom). Dr Farouk nomination was discussed at the Senate plenary session and referred to Committee on Establishment and Public Service Matters for further legislative action and to report back within two weeks.

Confirmation of the Nomination of Umaru Farouk Aminu for Appointment as Full-Time Commissioner representing the North West Geopolitical Zone in the National Pension Commission by Senator Yahaya Abdullahi (Senate Leader).

Senate Leader moves that the Senate do consider the request of Mr. President C-in-C on the Confirmation of the Nomination of Umaru Farouk Aminu for Appointment as Full-Time Commissioner representing the North West Geopolitical Zone in the National Pension Commission in accordance with the provision of Section 19(3) of the Pension Reforms Act, 2014.

The request of Mr. President C-in-C is referred to Committee on Establishment and Public Service Matters for further legislative action and to report back within two weeks.
