Some Information on ICAN new Registrar/Chief Executive.

Professor Ahmed Modu Kumshe, FCA has taken over the reins as the Registrar/Chief Executive of ICAN. He succeeds Mr. John Irabor Evbodaghe, FCA who retired from the Institute at the end of 2019.

He brings to the job a robust academic and administrative experience garnered over the years as a university don and chartered accountant.

Prof Kumshe joined the Institute as Registrar/CE designate in September 2019 from the University of Maiduguri, where he was a Professor and immediate past Head of the Accountancy Department.

He is a former Chairman of Maiduguri/Damaturu & District of ICAN and a Commissioner in the North West Zone of the Federal Tax Appeal Tribunal.

Kumshe became a member of the Institute’s Governing Council in 2017 and served as Deputy Chairman, Publications and Image Committee (PIC). He has served the Institute in various other capacities including resource person and member of the organizing committees of ICAN Academic Conference and the Northern Zonal Districts Accountants’ Conference.
