ICAN gives Waivers to Delisted and Suspended Members, Hurry before it Expires
The Institute of Chattered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) has announced waivers for delisted and suspended members.
The Institute has received several appeals from delisted and suspended members for waivers on the penalties and discount on total indebtedness to the Institute.
Therefore, given the current economic situation in the Country, the Council of the Institute during its January 27, 2022 meeting approved waivers to suspended and delisted members as follows:
1. A waiver of the Delisting charge of N50, 000.00 and Suspension charge of N10, 000.00 for members who settle outstanding debts prior to year 2020 within a grace period of three months commencing from February 9, 2022.
2. 10% discount on outstanding debts prior to year 2020 for suspended and delisted members who settle the debt within a grace period of three months commencing from February 9, 2022.
3. The waiver would not cover any debt that is not settled within the three months grace period.
