How ICAN Celebrated PA AKINTOLA WILLIAMS 100th Birthday, Special Entourage Visit, Cakes, Awards to Students & Pictures

Today, 9 August 2019 is a very special day for ICAN as it marks the 100th birthday of the legendary and highly revered progenitor and doyen of Accountancy, PA AKINTOLA WILLIAMS, OBE, CFR, FCA.

ICAN is eternally grateful to God for the special gift of Baba to her, and to Nigeria, and to Africa and the world at large. ICAN will forever be proud of him.

To walk the talk of gratitude, the 55th President of our renowned Institute, Mazi Nnamdi Tony Okwuadigbo, B.Sc, JP, FCA, earlier today led a very powerful delegation of members of the Governing Council, Revered Past Presidents and Management of our Institute, to Baba’s house to thank him and wish him a very happy birthday.

The ICAN President also in the spirit of the celebration, presented cheques to indigent students selected from universities and polytechnics spread across the six geopolitical zones of the country for the Pa Akintola Williams Centenary Scholarship Award in commemoration of this special day.

Oladele Toyosi Michael, a 200 level Accounting student of the University of Lagos with CGPA of 4.54 received the Akintola Williams’ Centenary Scholarship Award in Lagos.
