PRE EXAMINATION

The New Syllabus takes full effect from April 2022.

The Timetable has been structured to enable candidates write a maximum of two (2) subjects of one and half hours each per Session (i.e Morning Session: 9:00am to 12noon and afternoon Session: 2:00pm to 5:00pm).

Registration for April 2022 Examinations would close at 5pm on Monday March 14, 2022.

Candidates must have processed their exemptions if eligible before sitting for the examinations as no candidate can qualify with exemption.

Kindly upload your passport on CIBN Portal as this validates your Examination registration.

An online tutorial platform would be made available in advance of the real examinations where students writing the subjects would be able to practice its usage and get acquainted with the application to aid their preparation.

Free Study Aid:

Registered Students can now access the soft copies of the Study Manuals for the Banking Professional and Certification Examinations Courses free of charge. The materials are available on the CIBN website www.cibng.org using Member Login Details.

Ten-Year Rule:

Effective January 2022, the implementation of Ten-year time limit for students to complete the Banking Professional and Certification Examinations earlier approved by the Governing Council will commence. At the expiration of the Ten-year deadline, candidates who are yet to complete the examinations would:

  • Be treated as fresh students.
  • Forfeit all their earlier records of exemptions and examinations.
  • Seek for fresh exemption in all the eligible subjects.
  • Sit for the subjects earlier passed again as well as the outstanding subjects
  • Students are therefore encouraged to complete their examinations within the Ten-year limit of the commencement.

DURING EXAMINATION

All Examinations would be conducted via CBT except the core subjects shaded Pink (in the time table) which are still paper based while the Certified Risk Managers (CRM) Certification as well as the Treasury Management Certification Examinations would be on the Remote Online platform as a pilot phase with effect from April 2022.

All Examinations start at 9:00am for the Morning Session and 2:00pm for the Afternoon Session even if a candidate has one paper to write during the Session.

Candidates must bring the Original copy of the duly authenticated docket to the Exam Centre and submit a photocopy to the Exam Officials for each Examination Session.

Candidates must not write their names, phone numbers or personal contact details on any part of the Answer Script. Appropriate penalty/sanction will be applied in this regard.

Candidates are warned in their own interest not to bring MOBILE PHONE(S), ELECTRONIC GADGETS OR PROGRAMMABLE DEVICES into the Examination Hall. Any one found violating this instruction will be stopped from continuing with the examination and the particular paper WILL BE CANCELLED.

Candidates are discouraged from bringing valuable items into examination centres.

Please note that clicking the END ASSESSMENT button will terminate the examination irrespective of the number of Subject(s) already attempted. Candidates are therefore advised to only click the button when they are sure to have completed all the Subjects registered to write for that particular Session.
