49th Annual Accountants’ Conference to Focus on Sustainable Development
Sustainable development of Nigeria will come into focus when the 49th Annual Accountants’ Conference organized by the Institute 0f Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) opens in Abuja on September 9th.
The conference will examine the various dimensions to the myriad of problems facing the Nigerian business environment including insecurity, poor infrastructure, disruptive innovation, inadequate public sector accountability.
The gathering is expected to proffer solutions to these problems in a bid to evolve a sustainable development model for the country. About 5,000 participants comprising leaders in various spheres of business, government and the academia are expected at the conference to share knowledge, interact and network for improvement of accounting, finance, general business and regulatory oversight.
The conference also offers ample opportunities for corporate organizations to showcase their brands and products to decision makers, business people and accountants via exhibition spaces, sponsorships and partnership arrangements. The AAC is a thought leadership platform for sharing current trends and best practices in accounting, business strategy and general management instituted by ICAN as part of its economic advocacy contributions to the country.
