ES PTAD Congratulates NUP on a Successful National Executive Council (NEC) Meeting

The Executive Secretary of PTAD, Dr. Chioma Ejikeme has congratulated the Nigeria Union of Pensioners on the success of their 2023 National Executive Council (NEC) Meeting.

The PTAD boss made this known in her remarks at the event which was held in Akure, Ondo state, on November 28th, 2023. She expressed her delight to attend the auspicious occasion and thanked the Pensioners for their support in her first tenure, their prayers for the renewal of her tenure and their support since her reappointment.

Dr. Ejikeme assured the pensioners under the Federal Defined Benefit Scheme of the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the welfare of Pensioners and further enjoined them to be of good cheer as the event was to celebrate pensioners, as there would be other days and events to deliberate on other issues concerning DBS pensioners.

ES PTAD told the pensioners of her plan to set up a project to judiciously look into the payment of death benefits to the NOK of deceased pensioners, and solicited for their prayers, advice, good ideas on how to move things forward so that together we can consolidate on the good work already begun.

She encouraged them to inform their members who have not carried out the I Am Alive Confirmation (IAAC) to do so, as PTAD has already started dropping police pensioners who didn’t carryout theirs from the payroll.

On behalf of the NUP, the Executive Secretary presented the Pillar of Ondo State Pensioners’ Award to the Executive Governor of Ondo state, His Excellency, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who was represented by Mr. Dare Aragbaye, SA to the Governor on Labour and Special duties.
