PenCom Could be Working on Another Increment for Retirees on Monthly Pension under Contributory Pension Scheme

National Pension Commission (PenCom) could be considering another enhanced pension for retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme, recall that in December 2017, the first set of retirees under Contributory Pension Scheme enjoyed enhanced pension.

Regional Manager, North-Central, Trustfund Pensions, Mrs. Emusiri Oshodi, disclosed this in Abuja during their pre-retirement and retiree forum, organized for intending retirees and retirees operating RSAs with Trustfund.

She said;

“One of the issues is that the retirees want to understand how soon their pensions can be enhanced and the first time it was enhanced was in December 2017. Currently, as we speak, the regulator, PenCom, is looking at enhancing pensions again.”
